Paid Training

Great Livin’ offers paid training to all new hires and current employees. Training assists Great Livin’ staff in properly providing services to people in our care. Employees learn to guide individuals in learning new skills, enhancing self-direction, and strengthening relationships, all toward the goal of living more independently.

Required Training

All Great Livin’ employees are required to take the following New Mexico Developmental Disabilities Support Division (DDSD) training:

  • Abuse, Neglect, and Exploitation Awareness

  • HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act)

  • Standard Precautions and Infection Control Basics

  • Keys to Health

  • Introduction to Person-Centered Planning

  • Introduction to Waivers

  • Individual Service Plan DSP/DSS

  • Assisting with Medication Delivery (AWMD)

  • Advocacy in Action

  • Communication Supports Training

  • Positive Supports Training
